I took most of these pictures on my way to work. There were so many! But I could not take a lot of pictures of the other signs because I was driving. I thought it was interesting that there were not many words just symbols or pictures of things, or rather things that were signified. With pictures on the signs there is no need for language because the pictures are signifing the idea effectivly. Also the colors are all in the same range; green, white, yellow, black. These colors bring uniformity and also help the viewer to recognize the importance of what the sign is saying. When the viewer sees a yellow slow sign they recognize it as a rule or law sign. If the slow sign was purple it would not be taken as seriously.
